Fall Meeting Programming You Don’t Want to Miss!

We have been busy planning Fall Meeting and are so excited to see you in San Antonio! Be sure to check out the variety of learning opportunities taking place. People who are registered by the Early Bird deadline will have an opportunity sign-up for learning experiences before arriving in San Antonio!

Pre-Conferences
Pre-conferences take place the day before the start of the full Fall Meeting, and are an opportunity to dive deeper into specific aspects of SRI work. This year, we have two off-site opportunities to visit schools utilizing SRI tools; as well as five on-site opportunities. To see the different available options, click here, and then register to attend!

Learning Experiences
Thursday afternoon of Fall Meeting is an opportunity for workshops that we call Learning Experiences. These will be 90-minute or three-hour sessions on a variety of topics. The Fall Meeting website has a number of the learning experience descriptions posted, a complete list will be available by the end of September. Remember – folks who register by the early bird deadline will have first shot at registering for learning experiences!

Collaborative Learning Groups
Most of the time at Fall Meeting will be spent in a small learning community called a collaborative learning group. These groups, co-facilitated by SRI facilitators, allow participants an opportunity to utilize SRI tools, while engaging in conversations about teaching and learning with a specific focus on equity. The collaborative learning group facilitators have been meeting since spring to prepare to support the learning of participants. This is the aspect of our conference that is unique, and where participants get to bring their own work and problems of practice for feedback.

Dr. Jamila Lyiscott – Opening and Closing Keynote
We are thrilled that Dr. Lyiscott will be helping us both open and close Fall Meeting this year. Dr. Lyiscott is a nationally renowned speaker, spoken word artist, and consultant. She has several TEDTalks, as well as a variety of writings on equity in schools. This is an opening and closing keynote you do not want to miss!

Sponsorship and Vendor Opportunities Available

Each year, we highlight the work of our partner organizations as well as local and national organizations that are working to support students and educators. We have a variety of sponsorship opportunities available – if you, or an organization you know of, is interested in supporting Fall Meeting and reaching an educational audience with a shared commitment to educational equity, please check out the Sponsorship page!

We cannot wait to see you in San Antonio!
