Fall Meeting 2018 Facilitators

Introducing . . . Fall Meeting 2018 Collaborative Learning Group Facilitators!

We’re thrilled to announce the team of collaborative learning group facilitators for SRI Fall Meeting San Antonio 2018!

The team of facilitators hails from all over the country — from Florida and Arizona, New York and North Carolina, Vermont, Oklahoma, and Georgia.  They live and work in California, Indiana, and Massachusetts, and, of course, the great state of Texas! Our team includes classroom teachers, arts educators, school counselors, and district leaders; teacher and leadership development specialists, consultants, doctoral candidates and coaches; professional developers, early childhood specialists, university professors — and recent retirees!

From a pool of 55 auspicious applications, FM co-facilitators were selected for their deep commitment to equity, diversity of experience and geography, and their willingness to model humility and vulnerability in their facilitation:  Through their applications and in the work they do in the world, each facilitator demonstrates the importance of being a learner in their practice.

Collaborative learning group facilitators have been working together in dyads and quads since May, getting to know each other by taking up some of the big, complex questions of SRI Fall Meeting: What does equity mean to us? What identities do we claim, and how might these identities show up in our facilitation?  What might we do differently when we become aware of our implicit bias? They’ve been sharing their learning with the entire team through virtual group meetings and in webinars. In the next couple of months, facilitators will begin to solidify agendas and learning activities for the 10.5 hours we’ll spend in collaborative learning groups.

SRI extends heartfelt gratitude to our amazing team of facilitators for the generosity of their time and spirit in doing this important work to support collaborative learning groups at Fall Meeting.  As is our tradition, every collaborative learning group will be co-facilitated again this year.
