Dear SRI Community,
Your moral and financial support has repeatedly played a key role in SRI’s success to achieve our mission of creating transformational learning communities fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence. Globally we have faced a health crisis that quickly became an economic crisis as well. The degree of uncertainty about what each day would bring kept many of us in a constant state of anxiety. In the midst of such calamity the SRI community has remained strong and committed to giving to continue the work of being the equity conscious educators our students needed us to be.
Because of your generosity we were able to respond to the professional learning needs of educators by offering a series of virtual sessions including: Facilitating Virtual Learning Communities, Leading Powerful Adult Learning Online, and The Equity First Virtual Institute. We host Virtual Connections each Wednesday for affiliates which has shown us the power that remaining connected has on our mental, social, and spiritual well-being during these times. SRI has also supported affiliates who wanted to continue their learning and get feedback on their work or dilemmas from colleagues by offering Virtual Reflective Learning Communities at no cost.
SRI remains committed to be a resource as educators reflect on their own learning needs in order to support their students. We see the value of holding space that supports learning as a community. Our organization remains steadfast in achieving equity and excellence for all students. SRI recognizes that this nation will feel the economic impact of this pandemic for months and possibly years to come. As a community of learners, ensuring that educators can have access to our tools and professional learning regardless of their economic circumstance is part of the fabric of who we. With the generosity you have shown and continue to show your gifts will be used for scholarships for educators to attend our currently scheduled and future offerings.
