Protocols in the Classroom: Tools to Help Students Read, Write, Think & Collaborate

Four SRI affiliates have recently published a new book: Protocols in the Classroom: Tools to help Students Read, Write, Think, & Collaborate. Join authors David Allen, Tina Blythe, Alan Dichter, and Terra Lynch on Thursday September 27th from 7:30-8:30pm EST for a webinar about using protocols in the classroom with students.

  • Learn how protocols help students develop and practice habits of critical thinking and meaningful collaboration for use across the curriculum
  • Explore examples of students and teachers working with protocols in the classroom
  • Investigate the essentials of facilitating protocols, whether done by the teacher or the students themselves
  • Consider strategies for troubleshooting and problem-solving when challenges arise in using protocols.

This webinar is ideal for classroom teachers, coaches, administrators, and teacher educators. The webinar will be recorded, and the recording shared with registered participants.

Culturally-Relevant Recruitment, Retention, and Responsibility Webinar

Join Dr. Liza Talusan (LT Coaching and Consulting, LLC) for a 3-part series on culturally relevant attitudes, behaviors, and actions that support recruitment, retention, and responsibility towards employees from institutionally underrepresented backgrounds.

• Part 1  (September 27th) will focus on why diversity, equity, and inclusion matters in the hiring process. We will go over the big questions that you and your institution should be asking itself about why you would engage in a culturally relevant process.
• Part 2 (October 11th) will focus on creating a more inclusive process that pays attention to the foundation of why we do this work together.
• Finally, Part 3 (November 1st) will explore the big questions around whether the culture, climate and behaviors of your institution are prepared to support and authentically engage with communities from institutionally underrepresented backgrounds.
