Learning Experience Proposal Deadline – Friday, May 25th

Do you have a great idea for a Learning Experience at Fall Meeting? Are you using SRI tools and practices in exciting ways that you’d like to share with others? Then we invite you to offer up a Learning Experience on Thursday afternoon, November 8, 2018 at the Fall Meeting in San Antonio.

Each year, we utilize a portion of our conference for Learning Experiences. These sessions, either 90 minutes or 3 hours, allow affiliates to learn new skills, dive deep, and explore different concepts, all within the framework of the SRI Mission and Guiding Principles. We have extended proposals for Fall Meeting Learning Experiences until May 25. If you are interested in proposing an experience, please utilize the Learning Experience proposal form.

Do you have questions or would you like to tlak through an idea? Email or call Kari (kari@schoolreforminitiative.org or 303.586.1169)

Register for Fall Meeting Now!

As your school years are wrapping up, it is the perfect time time to plan for your professional development in the fall. To this end, we have opened Fall Meeting registration early.

Registration is now open for the 2018 Fall Meeting! Please join us in San Antonio, TX, November 8-10, 2018.

Fall Meeting is a unique experience, different than most educational conferences, in that we spend most of our time in small learning communities, having conversations about the complexity of teaching and learning, with a primary focus on educational equity. In order to make schools better places for every student, the foundation of SRI’s work asks us to:
• Work in ways that challenge assumptions and bias about race and equity, and question how these assumptions are enacted in practice;
• Be accountable to colleagues to continually improve practice that benefits every learner;
• Engage in and learn from collaborative & reflective practices that intentionally focus on teaching and include close, public examination of the work learners produce.

The Fall Meeting will continue to be a place for connection, community and renewal. San Antonio lends itself to exploration and reflection and we know this will be an experience you won’t want to miss! We hope you will join us on the Riverwalk! Register now!
