Forging a Legacy for SRI – Our Work in Progress

October 27, 2021

Hello SRI Community,

Greetings from SRI with an update on the current work of the Phoenix Committee, Shepherd Impact consultants, and SRI Board. We continue to work on a plan for what happens when our resources as an independent organization are depleted and a national office is no longer fiscally or organizationally sustainable. Because we anticipate this time will come in early in 2022, the Phoenix Committee’s hard work will give the board options to ensure the future of transformational learning communities that are fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence. We are committed to having a transition plan in place by the end of 2021.

SRI’s Phoenix Committee has been reaching out to organizations to whom we could  entrust the legacy of our work and the community of SRI. We appreciate your continued support as we recognize the last 11 years as an independent organization, and plan for the next phase of our work.

Legacy Conversations
As part of our work we envisioned some conversations with our community and invite you to join us. We will discuss the present and future of SRI as a community. We will present an overview of the present state of the organization with some background as well as progress in our legacy plan. We’ll take some time for questions & answers, then make space for dialogue. We acknowledge how difficult this time is for many as we approach changes in an organization we hold dear, one that has made a difference in our lives and that many of you helped build.

If you would like to take part, please register for a conversation Tuesday, November 9 at 7pm Eastern or Wednesday, November 10 at 7pm Eastern:

Thank you,
