On the SRI Blog This Week

This week, we hear from SRI Board Member, Jeffrey Galaise, about the ways that the tools and practices of SRI have influenced his collaborative work as an educator at the Facing History School in New York City.

Why Affiliate with SRI?

This week, SRI affiliates received a message about an upcoming facilitation opportunity. If you didn’t receive this message, then you may not be a current SRI affiliate. The ability to apply for national contract work is one of the affiliate-only perks! Additionally, SRI can support your independent contract work by acting as a fiscal agent; providing materials and registration support; and much more! Affiliates also have the opportunity to run for the SRI Board of Directors as well as vote in elections, serve on workgroups that support the sustainability of SRI, and submit events to the SRI calendar. Not sure if you are an SRI affiliate? Follow the affiliation link and confirm your affiliation, or affiliate!

Looking for Educational Opportunities this Summer?

SRI provides a number of ways to reflect and rejuvenate this summer, while prepping for the upcoming school year! Check out our growing list of events that are being offered by SRI affiliates around the country.

Don’t have time for a seminar this summer? Catch up on some great reads! The SRI website has a number of fantastic books written by SRI affiliates. Add a few of these to your beach bag for reading this summer!

SRI In the News

The April edition of ASCD’s Educational Leadership has an article written by friend of SRI, Daniel Venables.
