Attention New York Affiliates – New York City Regional Planning Meeting

In an effort to connect, build and inspire our local work, SRI is offering a planning session to get feedback from New York City area affiliates and discuss important topics such as, growth of the organization, local commitment to conversations and action around race and equity, consistent monthly local meeting schedule, and much more.  If you are interested in getting involved and working with the affiliates in the New York City Region, please join SRI Board member Jeff Galaise at our very first brainstorming session.  The meeting will be held through our online platform on August 8th at 4:00 PM Eastern.

SRI Fall Meeting 2017 – Learning Experiences – Deadline Extended to AUGUST 1ST

Do you have a great idea for a Learning Experience at Fall Meeting? Are you using SRI tools and practices in exciting ways that you’d like to share with others? Then we invite you to offer up a Learning Experience at the November 2-4, 2017 Fall Meeting in Atlanta.

Each year, we utilize a portion of our conference for Learning Experiences. These sessions, either 90 minutes or 3.5 hours, allow affiliates to learn new skills, dive deep, and explore different concepts, all within the framework of the SRI Mission and Guiding Principles. We are accepting proposals for Fall Meeting Learning Experiences now until August 1st. If there is a topic for a Learning Experience that you would like to see offered, let Kari know and we will do our best to find a facilitator with the expertise to offer the session!


SRI Fall Meeting 2017 – Pre-Conference Proposals – Deadline AUGUST 1ST

Pre-Conferences take place the day before the start of Fall Meeting, and are ½ day or full-day sessions designed to dive deep into content. These can be on-site opportunities or off-site field trip/site visits.

We are accepting proposals for Fall Meeting Pre-Conferences now until August 1st. If you are interested in proposing an experience, please utilize the Pre-Conference proposal form. Questions? Email or call Kari (kari@schoolreforminitiative.org or 303.586.1169).

SRI Fall Meeting 2017 – Call for Facilitators – Deadline AUGUST 15TH

Each year, as SRI grows and the Fall Meeting continues to attract educators spanning all levels of practice and understanding of our work, we learn more and more about SRI’s mission to create transformational learning communities fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence.

Today, we invite you to do this important work on behalf of SRI. Please consider facilitating a collaborative learning group at the 2017 Fall Meeting in Atlanta, GA

Facilitating a collaborative learning group at the Fall Meeting will be a rich and rewarding experience. It will also be challenging, and frankly, somewhat overwhelming work!  We are starting our selection process early so we can spend time working together over the next few months to prepare for the Fall Meeting.

We hope you will carefully consider this important opportunity. If you are interested, please complete the Fall Meeting Application – found online here. If you have questions about the role, responsibilities, or anything else about the role of Fall Meeting facilitator, please email Beth Graham (beth@schoolreforminitiative.org).  Applications are due August 15th.
