“I’m Not Racist…am I?” Digital Learning Opportunity

At the 2017 Denver Winter Meeting, we screened the film I’m Not Racist…am I?” and had the opportunity to hear from one of the film’s producers, Andre’ Robert Lee, and two of the students from the film.

Point Made Learning, the programming extension of Point Made Films who produced “I’m Not Racist…am I?”, has created a digital online course that utilizes snippets from the film along side additional material to support individual learning. There are 8 modules, with an additional two optional mini-modules. The course is designed for individuals to grow their own understanding of race and racism.

Point Made Learning is offering the SRI community a discounted rate on the course – $49 instead of the current price of $79. The offer is good until the end of March, and people that enroll will have 90 days to complete the course from the time they join.

As a special addition for the SRI community, we are coordinating virtual learning communities for people who are interested in completing modules, and then discussing them with others in the SRI community. Similar to a book club, these online communities will meet four times over the course of the next three months to engage in conversation about race and racism.

If you are interested in taking the course, with or without the supporting virtual community, please click here to learn more. This is a great opportunity for us to work as individuals and with others to deepen our learning and understand what it means to be fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence. Please join us!
