News from the School Reform Initiative – July 31, 2019

SRI 10th Anniversary

In 2009 a group of educators came together to start School Reform Initiative, an organization based on collaboration with an equity mission. Our founders and new members had a rich history in collaborative and reflective practices under the banner of other organizations, but they saw a need to put purpose to those practices: educational equity, so it was time to start our own organization. “The School Reform Initiative creates transformational learning communities, fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence.” We now celebrate 10 years of having our own organization steeped in our equity mission. Please celebrate with us

Fall Meeting 2019
We invite you to join us to celebrate 10 years in person at Fall Meeting. We’re retuning to Boston, MA, the site of our first Winter Meeting. In Boston we’ll renew our fierce commitment to educational equity and excellence, and together, we’ll rekindle our passion for teaching and learning. Through our collective wisdom, we’ll find the courage and comfort needed to bring our best selves back to our schools and our students. You will also get a chance to connect with colleagues new and old at our Friday Equity Champions reception that will be part reunion, part celebration.
