Leading Reflective Learning Communities Institute

May 4-6, 2021, 10am-2pm EST
Facilitator: Beth Graham
Cost: $475 for non-affiliates, $450 for affiliates, and $425 for groups of 3 or more

This three-day institute is designed for educators who are often called upon to facilitate meetings or deliver professional development and need support in designing, implementing and supporting adult learning. Using research-based tools and strategies, participants learn how to nurture ongoing conversations designed to improve teaching and learning. The Institute provides in-depth study of protocols; introduces adult learning theory; builds explicit connections between adult learning and student success; supports participants to ask for and receive feedback critical to their success; and enables participants to design action plans that facilitate the improvement of teaching and learning through the lens of educational equity and excellence. By the conclusion of the 3-day institute, participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of adult learning theory;
  • Understand the connection between adult learning and school transformation;
  • Understand core considerations when leading with SRI reflective tools and processes;
  • Explore themselves as leaders; and
  • Begin to develop and/or deepen the facilitative skills needed to lead educators’ learning.

Attending Introduction to Reflective Learning Communities Institute is not required to attend this session, but it is the recommended first step in this series of institutes for new practitioners

BOLT Virtual Arts Festival!

Pegasus Springs Edcuation Collective is a long-time partner of SRI and we have facilitated their Building Our Leaders of Tomorrow (BOLT) program for students in the past.

Pegasus Springs is pleased to announce their virtual BOLT 2021 Arts Festival! Students ages 6-18 are invited to submit art and/or performance videos within a wide-range of categories—including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, mosaic, theater, dance, music, poetry, story, monologue, film, and more.

Pegasus Springs believes that students must be key collaborators in all education’s efforts. Their experiences and aspirations are critical as we navigate toward the future, and our Building Our Leaders of Tomorrow (BOLT) program is committed to empowering student voice and agency. Through our BOLT content and programming, our goal is to provide platforms for students to express their perspectives and experiences to both develop and demonstrate their talents.

This last year has been especially challenging, and we know that students have a lot on their minds. The arts provide such a powerful platform for expressing our voice, individuality, and creativity

#KeepingEquityFirst2021

Our goal for 2021 is to help educators remember why they became educators, and to do whatever we can to not only help them to ‘feel’ supported, but to actually ‘be’ supported, and work together to create the schools our students deserve. I hope you will join me and continue to support SRI!

SRI is fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence, and we cannot do this work without your support!

Thank you for your commitment to students, families and communities!
