Demo Night is organized by The Greater Chicago Dialogue and Deliberation Community of Practice. The CoP is a network of innovators dedicated to improving and transforming group decision making in order to co-create wide collective action regarding public issues of interest. New York Times Annual Student Editorial Contest
Do you know some teenaged students who have opinions to share? The New York Times holds a student editorial contest each year and the deadline is March 29, 2016. We know there are amazing students within the SRI community, and their voices should be heard! You can learn more, find the rubric and the process for entering here.
Resource Book Price Increase
In January 2014, we released the version 3.0 of the SRI Resource and Protocol Book, and it was updated last year to reflect compliant language following the trademark lawsuit. We intend to release version 4.0 in Spring of 2017.
Due to increased printing and storage costs of the current version, we will be increasing the price of the resource book to $22, plus shipping, starting July 1, 2016. The book will continue to sell at the current price of $20, plus shipping, until June 30, 2016.
Registration Open for Annual Facilitator Retreat
The annual facilitator retreat will be held April 8 & 9 in Houston, TX. The retreat is designed for facilitators who support transformation within schools and districts; across and among cities, states and regions, as well as internationally. This is not a seminar on how to be a facilitator, but instead an opportunity for people who are facilitating to come together, get feedback on their work, and continue to grow in their own practice.

Save the Date – Pre-Service Education and SRI Practices Retreat
For several years, a core group of SRI affiliates have connected at Winter Meeting to talk about how to utilize the tools and practices of SRI critical friendship as part of pre-service teacher preparation programs as well as in supporting new teachers entering the profession.
To keep this conversation moving, we are holding a retreat at Eagle Rock School & Professional Development Center in Estes Park, CO – June 27 & 28. More information will be coming about the agenda and logistics as the planning team meets to design the retreat.
