Humanitarian Effort for Haiti

Dr. Max Jean-Paul, an SRI affiliate in New York, recently led a humanitarian effort to the nation of Haiti. Dr. Jean-Paul, along with a group of educators, brought much needed supplies, as well as provided professional development workshops in local schools (utilizing SRI protocols!). NYC Schools: Segregation Then, Segregation Now, Segregation Forever? Panel Discussion – Friday, Nov 18, 2016

Fifty years ago, Black and Puerto Rican parents in Harlem and Beford-Stuyvesant launched a massive campaign to end segration in New York City’s schools. It failed. So did subsequent initiatives. Now a new effort is underway. This panel will review current proposals in the light of this history. Click here to learn more about this free event!

Foxfire Fund Seeks Executive Director

Foxfire (The Foxfire Fund, Inc.) is a nonprofit education and heritage preservation based in Rabun County, north Georgia. Founded in 1966, Foxfire began as a learner-centered, community-based approach to education, grounded in the Southern Appalachian culture. The Foxfire Executive Director plays a key role, with the board of directors, the community board of advisors, and partner organizations, in promoting the development and expansion of the heritage center and the educational programs that advance Foxfire’s mission of seamless integration of teachers, learners and communities.
