To help promote the mission of the organization, SRI supports the professional development activities of its affiliates in multiple ways:

  • Advertising events on the SRI website;
  • Providing online registration forms;
  • Including seminar participants in our national network;
  • Providing seminar administrative support.

Events on Website:
Our affiliates are encouraged to use SRI’s website to access our community of learners and the wider educational network to promote their professional learning activities.  In order to post events on the SRI website, the following must be true:

*To help SRI insure that events shared with the SRI community are in alignment with our mission, guiding principles and continued organizational growth, facilitators posting events on our website must an active and current SRI affiliate.  This means you must have attended an SRI national event (Winter Meeting, Fall Meeting or Facilitator Retreat) within the past two years to be considered an active affiliate. Questions? Email Kari Thierer, Executive Director. (kari@schoolreforminitiative.org).

Seminar Participants and Event Roster Guidelines:
Following the completion of an event posted on the SRI website, the event contact should send SRI the final list of participants*.  Facilitators can use SRI’s event roster template when submitting final list of participants.

Once final participant rosters are received, SRI will:

  • Enroll those participants on SRI’s email list. Participants are free to opt out of this mailing at any time.
  • Invite participants to join SRI as an affiliate and to utilize our free resources and tools available on the website.
  • Participants and facilitators listed on submitted lists will receive a $50 off coupon for the coming year’s SRI Fall Meeting.  This coupon is only available to facilitators who 1) list their event on the SRI website and 2) submit their event rosters to SRI.

*SRI does not maintain a database of events attended by participants.  We do maintain record of the original participant roster received.

Utilize the new SRI Affiliate Logo
To help continue to brand our work, we encourage you to use the SRI Affiliate logo. This logo helps demonstrate your connection and affiliation with SRI. This is the only logo that is approved for branding on your materials and events. This is a change in practice based on consultation from our attorneys. If you have questions about this, please connect with Kari Thierer (kari@schoolreforminitiative.org).

Administrative Support:
SRI will work with its affiliates who need administrative support to run their professional learning events. Administrative support from SRI includes:

  • An online registration form for seminar participants.
  • Invoicing for registration fees.
  • Collection of seminar fees by check, purchase order or credit card.
  • Payment of facilitation fees and seminar expenses.
