Who should attend:
This retreat is being designed for SRI affiliates who have been working to incorporate SRI principles and practices within their pre-service teacher education and licensure programs. These include both traditional university-based programs, as well as alternative licensure programs. Participants should have familiarity with the core principles of SRI critical friendship and have some experiences utilizing these tools within a pre-service education capacity.

Goals of the retreat:

  • Share our current practice so we can learn from one another.
  • Improve our practice at a practitioner level: How do we do this work better, more effectively, and employ these practices to improve the licensure experience for pre-service teachers?
  • Utilize the process of Network Improvement Communities to grow our individual work while also moving forward a shared common goal of utilizing SRI principles and practices within licensure experiences more broadly. This process will map out follow-up and next steps for this community so we can continue to learn and grow with one another over time.
