The School Reform Initiative (SRI) is an alliance of educators committed to creating “transformational learning communities fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence.” This shared vision of robust, equitable schools is realized by supporting and promoting the learning of educators in intentional, reflective learning communities known as critical friends groups.
The work of SRI began 15 years ago as part of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University. Since 2009 the School Reform Initiative has operated as an independent organization, bringing the concepts and strategies of transformative, collaborative learning to more than 2,000 educators throughout the United States and abroad.
