Annual Fund Pledge Form
The work of the School Reform Initiative (SRI) began 15 years ago as part of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University.  Today the School Reform Initiative is an independent, professional learning organization, bringing the concepts and strategies of transformational learning to hundreds of schools throughout the United States and abroad.

Just since 2009 more than 2,000 teachers and school leaders have dedicated themselves to the principles of critical friendship and collaborative practice. It is through the collective efforts of this alliance of educators that SRI seeks to realize its mission to create transformational learning communities fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence.

As we begin our third year of independent operation as a not-for-profit organization, SRI is embarking on an exciting new phase of development.  In partnership with the Bay and Paul Foundations, SRI is engaging in organizational capacity building in order to become strong, secure, and capable of sustaining its work over the next decade.  The SRI Board has created a plan for the future. A key part of this plan is fiscal sustainability based on foundation, corporate, and individual support for programs and operations along with revenue from programming and services.

By attending to our financial future, we are ensuring that:

  • All of our electronic materials remain free and accessible;
  • Every teacher who needs support can receive a scholarship to attend our annual Winter Meeting;
  • Our programs remain the best available; and
  • Through our research grants and initiatives, the SRI knowledge base continues to reflect an evolving, deepening understanding of our collective work.

For the first time SRI is formally reaching out to all of its affiliates, friends, colleagues, and supporters to ask each of you to make a donation to SRI.   The time to give is now.  SRI is stable and growing and we have the chance to have your gifts matched, thanks to a generous offer by the Bay and Paul Foundations.  But in order to do so, we must raise $33,000 in contributions, plus an additional $30,000 in foundation support.  All of the SRI Board members have pledged their contributions to SRI; we are asking you to join us.

How much should you consider giving? As much as you can, and perhaps a little more than you had first imagined, given this is our first ever appeal.   Know that, whatever the size of your gift, it will be accepted gratefully.
