Stand With School Reform Initiative by Affiliating Today

Hello SRI Community,

Nominations for the 2013 SRI Board elections are now open. We are ready for you to nominate some excellent candidates for the three open seats on the SRI Board of Directors! But first, are you an SRI affiliate?

Becoming an affiliate will allow you to participate in the SRI community in many ways; the most immediate is securing your right to vote in the upcoming board election. You must be an affiliate in order to vote and only those that are currently affiliated will receive a ballot in November. Not sure if you are an affiliate? Search here to find out.

There is no financial requirement or obligation associated with SRI affiliation, and the process is simple. Haven’t joined as an SRI affiliate?  Click here to complete the form.

Affiliating is an important step in joining the hundreds of SRI colleagues who are actively engaged in creating and sustaining our organization, one that is “fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence.” By becoming an affiliate you:

• Receive our email news and updates;

• Are eligible to vote in board elections;

• Are eligible to run as a board candidate;

• Are eligible to serve on SRI work groups;

• Are eligible to apply for Winter Meeting scholarships.

We strive to be an organization whose members are active participants in the organizational development and life of SRI. Your affiliation demonstrates your commitment to SRI and its community. In addition to standing up in support of SRI, the affiliation process provides an opportunity to reflect on the mission and guiding principles of SRI and connect them to your professional practice. Please join us if you have not done so already.

Voting for the board elections will begin in late November – be sure to confirm your affiliation status today!
