SRI Board Election Closes This Friday

December 10, 2013

Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you in the middle of something wonderful with students or colleagues close by and meaningful work on the table. Here in New York City, we’re getting just a taste of the winter weather that has moved across the country.

I write today with a reminder to all SRI affiliates that we are closing in on the final days of our Board election, and to ask everyone who has not yet taken time to do so to read about our extraordinary slate of candidates and then cast your votes. As a fully elected Board of Directors, we seek wide participation from our field of national practitioners- and that means we need you to become involved in this annual process by casting your votes this week!

Voting in an SRI election is easy, and with each vote cast, we deepen our collective resolve to create the schools our students need, and affirm our fierce commitment to educational excellence and equity.

Please take a moment today to follow the link to our election and cast your vote. As the School Reform Initiative moves forward in the coming year, we seek a strong affirmation of our governance structure and a solid support for those who offer to serve our organization as Board members. I hope you will show your commitment to the work we share, the schools we serve, and the students on whose behalf we work.

Stay warm, everyone, and here’s to Winter Meeting 2014 just a little more than a month away now!

All My Best,

Teri Schrader
Chair, SRI Board of Directors
