All things Fall Meeting!
We are just a few short months away from our Fall Meeting, November 2-4, 2017 in beautiful Atlanta, GA. The hotel is awesome, getting to the hotel from the airport is easy, and we are busy working on programming. Below are some opportunities for participating in Fall Meeting by offering a Learning Experience (deadline extended) or Pre-Conference. Do you have ideas that you want to share with the SRI community? Learning Experience’s and Pre-Conferences are the perfect space. Take a look at the proposal forms and deadlines, and send in your idea!
Learning Experiences – Deadline Extended to AUGUST 1ST
Do you have a great idea for a Learning Experience at Fall Meeting? Are you using SRI tools and practices in exciting ways that you’d like to share with others? Then we invite you to offer up a Learning Experience at the November 2-4, 2017 Fall Meeting in Atlanta.
Each year, we utilize a portion of our conference for Learning Experiences. These sessions, either 90 minutes or 3.5 hours, allow affiliates to learn new skills, dive deep, and explore different concepts, all within the framework of the SRI Mission and Guiding Principles. We are accepting proposals for Fall Meeting Learning Experiences now until August 1st. If you are interested in proposing an experience, please utilize the Learning Experience proposal form. Pre-Conference Proposals – Deadline AUGUST 1ST
Pre-Conferences take place the day before the start of Fall Meeting, and are ½ day or full-day sessions designed to dive deep into content. These can be on-site opportunities or off-site field trip/site visits.
We are accepting proposals for Fall Meeting Pre-Conferences now until August 1st. If you are interested in proposing an experience, please utilize the Pre-Conference proposal form. Questions? Email or call Kari (kari@schoolreforminitiative.org or 303.586.1169).

Hotel and Travel
The Fall Meeting website has links to the hotel, and reservations can be made now. We have also heard from several affiliates that there are some pretty great flight deals right now – particularly from the East Coast. Space at the conference hotel is limited, so please book early to ensure you have a spot!
Pre-Service Education Group Continues to Learn Together
For three years, a group of SRI affiliates have been thinking and learning together about pre-service education. The past two years, with the support of the Eagle Rock School and Professional Development Center, the group has dived into utilizing improvement science to support some of their thinking. Anastacia Reed shares about the most recent gathering at Eagle Rock.
SRI Affiliates are Everywhere!
Where are your summer adventures taking you? Be on the lookout for other SRI affiliates as you work, learn and play this summer. If you happen to run into other folks, be sure to take a picture and send us a note – we love to see our community gather in lots of places!
