Facilitator Retreat – Registration Now Open, Space is Limited
This year, we are hosting four facilitator retreats, spread out throughout the country, so that facilitators can select a location and time that works best for their schedule. Registration is now open and space is limited at each location.
The retreat dates and locations are:
January 26 & 27 – Boston, MA
February 16 & 17 – San Antonio, TX
March 23 & 24 – Tucson, AZ
April 27 & 28 – Miami, FL
If you are coaching, teaching or facilitating the work of SRI we encourage you to attend one of these professional development offerings. The annual SRI facilitator retreat is an opportunity to connect with collegues from around the country and regionally to learn together, work closely with SRI staff and board members, and focus on SRI’s mission of educational equity and excellence.
We know this is not work we can do alone. Please join us for one of these retreats and stay connected to the work of SRI and continue to grow in your fierce commitment to educational equity and excellence.
Fearless Dialogues @ The Atlanta History Center, January 11, 2018
At the 2017 Fall Meeting in Atlanta, we were fortunate to have Dr. Gregory Ellison from Fearless Dialogues join us for our opening and closing activities. Click here to view the opening and closing videos if you haven’t had a chance to see them!
January 11 – Dr. Ellison will launch his new book Fear+Less Dialogues: A New Movement for Justice at the Atlanta History Center – 7pm. Fear+Less Dialogues draws upon years of research, professional experiences, and personal encounters to offer strategies for unlikely partners to engage in hard heartfelt conversations that work toward social change and positive transformations in self and others.
SRI affiliates who are interested in attending can get tickets for just $5 for this event. If you are interested in attending, please email Jill Lum (jill@fearlessdialogues.com) and let her know you are an SRI affiliate and ask for the discount code. This will be a powerful event and we hope that SRI affiliates can take advantage of this generous discounted offer!
