Fall Meeting Learning Experiences – Call for Proposals
Do you have a great idea for a Learning Experience at Fall Meeting? Are you using SRI tools and practices in exciting ways that you’d like to share with others? Then we invite you to offer up a Learning Experience at the 2017 Fall Meeting in Atlanta.
Each year, we utilize a portion of our conference for Learning Experiences. These sessions, either 90 minutes or 3.5 hours, allow affiliates to learn new skills, dive deep, and explore different concepts, all within the framework of the SRI Mission and Guiding Principles. We are accepting proposals for Fall Meeting Learning Experiences now until July 1st. If you are interested in proposing an experience, please utilize the Learning Experience proposal form. Questions? Are you an SRI Affiliate? Is your information up-to-date?
School Reform Initiative affiliates are individuals who have taken the extra step of demonstrating their commitment to SRI and their involvement in the SRI community. We see this annual process as a way to self-identify as an active member. Becoming an affiliate is easy, and there are no financial requirements or obligations. Additionally, being an affiliate will allow you to participate in the SRI community in many ways.
We will be mailing an organizational update to affiliates (with a special affilate recognition gift included!). Please make sure your address on file is up-to-date. You can update your information, renew your affiliation, or become an affiliate, on our website. Click here to learn more about affiliation and make sure you are an SRI affiliate!
Fall Meeting Registration Now Open
The Atlanta Fall Meeting will take place November 2-4, 2017. We are busy working on planning this amazing event. The Fall Meeting offers educators from across the country and world the opportunity to engage as adult learners in the grounded, deeply relational types of learning experiences they offer their students every day. Registration is now open!
The mission of SRI is to create transformational learning communities fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence. This mission guides the planning of Fall Meeting and your participation is an opportunity to enact these beliefs into practice.
The Fall Meeting will help you advance your work in collaborative practices that make a difference for all students, whether you are just starting or have been a part of SRI for years. Join us and help further our collective commitment to making schools better places for all students and educators.
Scholarships will be available and applications open in August. Space is limited, be sure to register early!
