Learning to Listen
SRI affiliate and Rowland Fellow, Jeanie Phillips, shares her reflection on how the tools of SRI played a role in her learning to listen. As a 2014/2015 Rowland Fellow, Jeanie is designing opportunities to increase student engagement and personalize learning in her library learning commons and in her school.

This year SRI is Dreaming Big! In a few weeks we will be launching our ‘Dream Big’ social fundraising campaign, with a goal of raising $200,000 to expand the work of SRI. SRI Board of Directors – Election Starting Soon
Special thanks to the SRI affiliates who have volunteered to support the 2015 Board of Directors Election. Current board member Jeffrey Galaise (NY), and former board member Mark Otto (NY) will co-chair the nomination committee; along with SRI affiliates Miranda Dozier (GA), Valerie Mendez-Farinas (FL), Sharon Jones (FL) and Jonett Miniel (TX). Be on the lookout for the timeline and call for nominees.
Are you a current affiliate? Only current affiliates will be able to run for election or vote for members. Becoming an SRI affiliate is easy, and there are no financial requirements or obligations associated with becoming an SRI affiliate. We believe this is an important step in identifying people within the SRI community who are working to sustain our organization, one that is fiercely committed to educational equity and excellence.
